Sunday, November 10, 12:30 to 4pm: “The Practicing Artist and Social Media…. Now.”
This informative afternoon will demystify the challenges facing artists today concerning social media networking and what can be done to insure a successful online presence. The tide is changing and you may find some of the current information not only interesting but extremely important to your business….any business.
Find out where it is now worth socializing and where it is not to influence your credibility, online presence and affect your sales. Program presented by Paul Pinkman, a practicing fine artist and the owner of Paul Pinkman Creative Design in Plainfield. There will be a break after the lecture to reset the space for a panel of two other experts, Marc D’Agusto, a practicing visual artist and founder of Gravity, an organization that specializes in community revitalization through arts and innovation, and Eric Valosin, a practicing visual artist whose work is “a contemplation of the techno-sublime.” They will discuss the concepts of artist ‘branding’ and how one’s online presence serves to support or diminish that.
The program will be followed by Q&A. Questions for the panel will be collected during the break and addressed to them through the second half, time permitting.
